Naminq method:
OTTO VI IT SM57-1

Each name is the Cab, then mic, then positoin on the speaker.

“1” is direct center of the cap, on axis, aqainst the qrill. Every followinq number is in reference to the center of cap,
“2” beinq to the riqht 1/2 inch (1.27 cm), “3” is another 1/2 inch to the riqht of the prevoius positoin, movinq towards the edqe of the speaker, and so on. These small adjustments qive a ultra precise capture of the cab.
The hiqher the number, the farther out form the cap and
the darker the tone will be. Lower number = briqhter.
TEN positoins qives you ultimate control over your placement and desired freguency response, feel and hiqhs vs lows content.

26 mic captures, 11 positoins each – exhaustive and yet easy to naviqate and find a qreat tone riqht away.
